On a 2013 trip to Anchorage, I saw this awesome railroad running along side the bay. A chilly fall day and from what the locals said was only going to be a few feeks until the snow set in for the winter.
Iceberg - Anchorage, Alaska
The is something deeply mesmerizing in the green blue coloring of and iceberg. Of all the places I have been, I have never seen as many waterfalls as in Alaska. Constantly melting and reforming icebergs would do than in the mountain terrain.
Old San Ysidro Church - Corrales
Iconic Spanish mission church located in Corrales, New Mexico. Shot with filters to mimic an Ansel Adams style.
Taos Ski Valley
Snow from 4-8 feet deep was really an adventure. My wife is only 5'2", so she would dissapear if we didn't stay on the graded paths.
Fraser Island - Queensland, Australia
Fraser Island is an "Eco-Island" off the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. With no paved roads, we had to time our trip carefully. With 4WD vehicles, we drove on the beach at low tide. You have to get off the island or head island before the tide comes in.
Stalagtites in Carlsbad Caverns. Carlsbad is a very difficult place to take good pictures. It is really a shame, because the views are stunning, but the combination of low light, limited places for a tripod, and consistant traffic made it difficult. (Canon 20D - 1.6 sec - f/8 - 400ISO)
ABQ International Balloon Fiesta

Rolled Oats Macro

Well Drilling Equipment
There is something captivating about images of grease, dirt and everyday work. Much more fun to photograph a machine than to operate it day after day. This one was being used to drill a 400ft well in my front yard.
